Training Your Writing Assistant

Step One: Procure writing assistant. Local PetSmart adoption event is a good place to look.**

Step Two: Give new assistant a few days to become acclimated. Don’t force him to work right away.

Step Three: Start working on edits at dining room table and wait. The assistant will appear and lie all over your notes.

Step Four: Move assistant off of your notebook.

Step Five: Move assistant off of your notebook.

Step Six: Move assistant off of your notebook.

Step Seven: Give up and decamp to the king-sized bed, where you can spread out with laptop, notes, AND assistant.

Step Eight: Congratulations. You have been successfully trained by your new writing assistant.
